We Scored the Exclusive Premiere of That Poppy's Enchanting Music Video for "Lowlife"

She's about to sing her way into your heart.

That Poppy is mesmerizing for more reasons than one. Between her catchy tunes and flawless lashes, we were pretty much sold the second we clicked play on the music video you're about to become obsessed with.

The doe-eyed singer-songwriter grew up in Nashville in a incredibly musical family. Even though dancing was her first love, it didn't take her long to hop on the bandwagon and start getting into music. Now signed to Island Records with a sound and style all her own, she's ready to take on the scene with Reggae-inspired beats and pastel-everything.

Teen Vogue: Tell us about your single "Lowlife."

That Poppy: The song is about me living on my own for quite a while and the ups and downs of it all. Then meeting someone when you're in a very rough spot. And that certain person — whether it's a friend or a lover — shaking up your world and making the worst time actually the best time.

Teen Vogue: The music video is amazing. What was your favorite part of filming?

TP: One of my favorite parts was getting a few fans to come out for filming in the shot where I'm walking into the car. They were jumping and yelling — that was funny. They were so cool and sweet! It was also pretty funny to have all my dude friends in morph suits crawling around on the ground, too. Right before the director would yell 'action,' they'd be yelling things at me and saying, 'I'd only do this for you, Poppy.' I was just trying not to laugh.

Teen Vogue: We love your style. How would you describe it? And where are your favorite places to shop?

TP: I'd say Kawaii, Twiggy, Barbie, child... I think that's an accurate description. I love thrift shopping — I take a different approach now than I used to. I go for colors and cuts that I like. Also, sometimes I'll sew my own outfits. I used to go thrifting and get crazy patterned triple XL shirts that I could wear as dresses. I guess that's changed.

Teen Vogue: We've gotta ask — what's your secret behind creating those flawless lashes?

TP: Patience and false lashes. I can never put them on myself — if I'm in a rush, I end up getting frustrated and occasionally crying. A really good thing to do is to put the glue on, then blow on the glue or let it sit for 10 seconds, then place them. It makes all the difference.

INTERVIEW: Who Is That Poppy? | Everything You Need To Know

Who is That Poppy? Well ... she's your new obsession. Poppy is a young singer/songwriter who recently released a new EP called Bubblebath, via Island Records on February 12th, which features her catchy new, reggae-esque single "Lowlife," along with three other new songs. The pink-obsessed, blonde-haired recording artist recently stopped by iHeartRadio HQ for an exclusive interview, where we learned all about her music and favorite things in life.

Poppy grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and started writing music about four years ago. She says that the first song she ever wrote "was just a piano thing. It never really finished itself." And Poppy can not only play the piano, she can also play the guitar.

If you're just getting familiar with That Poppy's music, the singer herself describes her sound style as "music [that] makes people want to take over the world." Exhibit A: her single "Lowlife."

Poppy on the meaning behind her new single "Lowlife"

"'Lowlife' is about living on your own, or living on Poppy's own, for some time, and then meeting somebody that kind of shakes up your world and makes bad times good times."

Poppy on how she comes up with her YouTube videos

Aside from her addictive music and new four-song EP, That Poppy will also mesmerize you with her YouTube videos. The singer teams up with an audio/visual artist named Titanic Sinclair on the concepts for each of her unique videos on her YouTube channel. Poppy talks about everything from Q-Tips, to dogs (or "doges" as she calls them), to holidays like Valentines Day, politics, and more. There's even a ten-minute video of Poppy explaining that .. well .. she is Poppy.

"Poppy and Titanic Sinclair collaborate on it. He's a director, and we just go for what we feel. It's in our guts."
